Providing quality education to vulnerable children, empowering them to build a brighter future.
Our Education Program is the cornerstone of our work at Bertu Tesfa. We believe that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty and create lasting change in children's lives.
Through our comprehensive approach, we provide free education from kindergarten through Grade 2, with plans to expand one grade level each year. Our goal is to eventually offer a complete primary education through Grade 8.
Beyond just classroom learning, we focus on holistic development, nurturing children's academic, social, and emotional growth in a supportive environment.

We provide a high-quality education following the Ethiopian curriculum, with qualified teachers and small class sizes to ensure each child receives the attention they need.
We provide all necessary educational materials to ensure children can fully participate in their learning without financial barriers.
We provide additional academic support to ensure all children can succeed, regardless of their starting point or learning challenges.
We offer a range of extracurricular activities to develop children's talents, interests, and social skills beyond academics.
We actively engage parents and guardians in their children's education, recognizing that family support is crucial for educational success.
We prepare children for continued education beyond our program, helping them transition to higher grades and supporting their long-term educational journey.

"When I first came to Bertu Tesfa, I couldn't read or write. My grandmother couldn't afford to send me to school. Now, I'm at the top of my class in mathematics and science. I want to be a doctor when I grow up so I can help sick children in my community."
Abebe joined our program at age 6, having never attended school before. Within two years, he was reading at grade level and excelling in mathematics. His story represents the transformative power of education when barriers are removed and children are given the support they need to succeed.
